Memoir in Progress
A love letter that became a book.
It began as a love letter to her eldest son, Max, during his treatment for Non-Hodgkin's B-cell Lymphoma at twenty-one. It has since grown into a memoir shaped by a single, persistent question: must we put grief down to experience joy again after loss?
This is not a book about tidy answers. It is a book about how a family reshapes itself in the aftermath. How joy refuses to disappear. How love, given room, keeps expanding.
Grief and joy live in the same house. I am learning how they share the light.
